This intimate TEDxMIAWomen event offers the opportunity to witness the global conversation, again moderated by Pat Mitchell, in addition to fostering the discussion locally with fellow thinkers and innovators.

Mingling begins at the downtown offices of MiamiShared starting at 6 p.m. with light refreshments and great conversation. The video stream begins promptly at 7 o’clock.

The first-ever TEDWomen conference (hosted by Pat Mitchell last December) took a curated look at women as change agents, intellectual innovators, and idea champions. That event drew more than seventy speakers from twenty six countries to Washington, D.C. Notables included U.S.Secretary of State Hillary Clinton; Somali mother-daughter doctors Hawa Abdi and Deqo Mohamed; Nobel Peace laureate Jody Williams; Egyptian-American blogger Mona Eltahawy; media mogul Ted Turner; and young roboticist Cynthia Breazeal.

The conversation continues this December 1, when TEDxWomen reunites the vibrant global community assembled in 2010 to continue showcasing leading-edge innovation and powerful ideas from dynamic women of all ages—plus a few remarkable men. Parking in the building is $5 (cash only). Alternatively, the Park West or 11th St. MetroMover stations are less than 2 blocks walking distance.
